Melamine has a special feature in terms of its design, it maintains the main properties of wood. Creating a chipboard or board from wood as raw material and covering it with a melamine paper, which is the combination of papers, usually three layers of paper, decorated with a mixture of resins. This decorated paper can include a texture and is not limited only to the design of the different woods, there is a world of designs, woods, fantasies, unicolours, textiles, etc… Moreover, in recent years they have added antibacterial or anti-fingerprint characteristics perfect for any space of the habitat. This type of board has become one of the most used in the industry, and one of the complements you need to seal the board and give it its final finish are the edgebands for melamine boards.
The edgebands for boards are pre-glued PVC strips which are glued to the bard, so that it is perfectly sealed by a plastic material, thicker than melamine paper and more resistant to knocks and wear.
Within our manufacturing process, one of the first steps, which forms part of our free samplesprogram, is the countertyping of designs. Melamine brands are always renewing their catalogues, discontinuing obsolete designs or adding new designs, creating and being carried away by trends in materials and colours.
1. Analysis
When we receive a new design, which we have not yet countertyped or want to update, the first step is the analysis. Our specialists analyse the design, select the base colour, the corresponding pore and the printing rollers to create the design.
2. Extrusion of the base and decoration
We extrude the new base with the corresponding colour and pore to produce a top quality material. Several rolls are cut and taken to a small printing machine, where our countertyping manager decorates small samples by adjusting inks and rollers.
3. Reviewing the simple and sending it to the customer
The sample is checked at different illuminations and angles to approve the design. When the design is perfect, our sales representatives send the sample to the client.
In this way we achieve a perfect finish and the total satisfaction of our customers.
