This is the last detail that unifies the final design of the piece of furniture to achieve perfect results.
Our plastic extrusion team creates custom-made screw cap covers for each melamine board, thus concealing the elements used in the final assembly.
Specifically, the trims act as plugs on the different screws that are used during the final configuration process of each piece of furniture. They are adhesive plugs of different colours, textures and diameters that cover the visible screws of the furniture.
For this reason, because they must be integrated in an apparently invisible way with the final piece, the screw cap covers are manufactured with the same design as the melamine or with the finish requested by the client and thus contribute to a global and unitary image of the piece of furniture.
How are they manufactured?
The manufacturing process of the screw cap cover is very similar to that of the PVC and ABS edging, which is one of our star products. First, the screw cap covers are die-cut so that they are micro-perforated. Then, the adhesive must be added in order to simplify, as much as possible, the work of the customers in the final assembly of the product in their own facilities.
Through this mechanism, it is very easy to place and fix the screw cap cover, thus giving the final touch to the piece of furniture.
Thanks to Protecnic team's experience in colorimetry and design, the tone and finish of the screw cap covers is identical to the design of the different melamine boards. It is the perfect complement to the manufacture of edgebanding, always being faithful to the customer's requests.
