ABS edge banding, a very stable solution for the furniture industry

When mentioning the usual standards of the furniture industry, the reference is always to PVC ABS edgebands sample book. but if we focus specifically on ABS Edge banding, it shows some special characteristics that differentiate it from PVC edge banding.

Both options are based on impact-resistant thermoplastic materials. Specifically, in the case of ABS upholstery, this material is acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), a very stable and resistant option, especially suitable for office furniture and for spaces with intensive use and heavy traffic.

Among other advantages, it creates a very elegant bond with the melamine board, which is also highly resistant to heat, humidity and weathering in general, as it maintains its physical properties better in the event of temperature changes.
